Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about the AI Overview Research Tool

What is an AI Overview?

An AI Overview is a feature in Google search results that uses artificial intelligence to generate a summary or answer directly at the top of search results. This tool helps you detect whether specific keywords trigger these AI-generated summaries.

What locations are supported?

The tool supports over 200 countries and regions worldwide. Each location may show different AI Overview results based on regional availability and content. If you need a location that isn't currently available, please use the Contact Support form above to request it be added.

What does 'Project URL Matched' mean?

When you create a project with a URL, the tool checks if that URL appears in the AI Overview source references. A match indicates your website is being cited as a source in Google's AI-generated answers for that keyword.

What is the Organic Position column?

The Organic Position shows where your project URL ranks in the traditional (non-AI) organic search results on the first page. If your URL doesn't appear on the first page, this will show as empty.

How often should I refresh my keywords?

AI Overviews can change frequently as Google updates its AI models and indexes new content. We recommend refreshing your keywords weekly or after making significant changes to your website content.

Can I export my search results?

Yes! You can export your results to CSV format. Use 'Export Last CSV' to get only the most recent batch of results, or 'Export All CSV' to download your complete historical data.

Why did some of my keywords fail?

Keywords may fail due to API rate limits, network issues, or temporary unavailability of the search API. Failed keywords are highlighted in the results table, and you can retry them by clicking the refresh button.

What are Related Questions?

Related Questions (also known as 'People Also Ask') are additional questions that Google displays alongside search results. These can provide insights into what users are searching for related to your keywords.

How is historical data preserved?

Each time you search or refresh a keyword, a new record is created with a timestamp. The interface shows only the latest result, but all historical data is preserved and can be exported for trend analysis.
