This Privacy Policy explains how Wizardworks Web Design Inc. ("Wizardworks," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information when you access or use our website and software-as-a-service platform (the "Service").

  • Business name
  • Email address
  • Address (billing and/or account address, as provided)
  • Login credentials (see "Passwords" below)

Service inputs and account content

  • Keywords you submit for tracking
  • Project names
  • Domain names and related configuration details you add to projects
  • Notes or other information you choose to save within the Service (if applicable)

Billing and subscription information

  • Subscription tier, trial status, and billing status
  • Invoices/receipt information and payment event details (e.g., successful payments, failed payments, cancellations)
  • We do not store full payment card details (see Section 6)

Communications

Information you provide when you contact us (e.g., support emails)

B) Information collected automatically

When you visit the site or use the Service, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Device identifiers and browser type
  • Operating system
  • Referring/exit pages
  • Usage and interaction data (pages viewed, features used, timestamps, clicks, navigation paths)

C) Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Strictly necessary site and service functionality (e.g., login sessions, security)
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
  • User experience/behavioral insights (Crazy Egg)
  • "Marketing" cookie category choices (even if we do not currently run additional marketing tags)

3. Passwords and Authentication

We do not store passwords in plain text. Passwords are stored using one-way hashing. We may store authentication/session tokens and password reset tokens to help keep accounts secure and enable account access and recovery.

4. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service (including creating accounts and running keyword tracking)
  • Authenticate users and protect account security
  • Manage trials, subscriptions, and billing
  • Send transactional and service emails, such as:
    • Email verification and password resets
    • Receipts and billing confirmations
    • Trial expiration notices and account status notices (including accounts that have expired after the free trial)
    • Service and security notices
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve the Service (for example, to understand feature usage and improve performance), subject to your cookie preferences
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Your Choices

A) Cookie consent

We use a cookie consent mechanism that allows visitors to accept or reject optional cookie categories (such as analytics and marketing). Your choices control whether certain tags fire through Google Tag Manager.

B) Types of cookies we use

Strictly Necessary (always on)

These cookies are required for core site/service functionality such as authentication, security, and session management. Without them, the Service may not function properly.

Analytics (optional)

If you consent, we use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site and Service and to improve performance and usability. Tools may include:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) (implemented via Google Tag Manager)

Experience / Behavior Analytics (optional)

If you consent, we may use tools that help us understand user interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and page engagement:

  • Crazy Egg

Marketing (optional)

We provide a marketing cookie category in our consent settings. At this time, we do not run additional advertising or retargeting tags beyond what you may later enable. If we add marketing trackers in the future, they will be subject to your cookie preferences.

C) Managing your cookie settings

You can update your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings option provided on our site.

6. Payments and Billing (Stripe)

We use Stripe to process payments and manage subscriptions (including monthly automated billing). When you purchase a subscription, your payment information is handled directly by Stripe. We do not store full payment card details.

We may receive information from Stripe relating to billing and payment events (such as whether a payment succeeded or failed, subscription status, and invoice/receipt details).

7. Emails and Communications

We send emails that are necessary to provide the Service, including:

  • Receipts and billing confirmations
  • Trial expiration notices and account status notices
  • Security and account access emails (verification, password reset)

We do not currently send marketing newsletters or promotional campaigns. If we introduce marketing emails in the future, we will provide an appropriate opt-out mechanism where required.

8. How We Share Personal Information

We share personal information only as needed to operate the Service and comply with legal obligations.

A) Service providers

We use third-party service providers that process information on our behalf, such as:

  • Stripe (payments and subscriptions)
  • Google (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, if consented)
  • Crazy Egg (experience/behavior analytics, if consented)
  • Email delivery provider(s) used to send receipts and service emails (for example, transactional email delivery)

These providers may access personal information only to perform services for us and are expected to protect it.

B) Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, our business, or others.

C) Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

9. International Use and Data Transfers

Our Service is available globally. If you access the Service from outside Canada, your information may be processed in Canada or other countries where our service providers operate or store data. These jurisdictions may have different data protection laws than your location.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements
  • Enforce our agreements
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse

If you close your account or stop using the Service, we may retain certain information for a reasonable period for compliance, dispute resolution, backups, and security purposes.

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including password hashing, access controls, and encryption in transit (TLS). No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, and you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information (such as accessing or correcting information). You may also manage cookie preferences through our consent tools (Section 5).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we will take additional steps to notify users where appropriate.
